Thought I’d share this. I’ve ben working on this painting for a bit now and I still have a lot to do but looking back to the initial drawing to today’s work I find comfort in my process. I love painting and it’s my life but It can stressful and frustrating at times. The more I paint the harder it seems. For the past few years I haven’t really finished anything. Instead they’ve been studies that allowed me to discover my process. I feel at peace and excited to paint everyday now simply because of how I approach painting.
In progress photo of a painting I started from life this summer. It now faces the wall because I don’t have a clear direction for it. I’ll be patient and let it come to me.
